簡介內容 | Nagasaki University has developed advanced educational and research activities based on the philosophy that the University should contribute to improvement of a well-balanced society by cultivating a fertile sense in students, creating science for world peace, and inheriting the traditional culture rooted in Nagasaki. With its reorganization into a National University Corporation at the first of the new century, the University pledges to further enhance and individualize its education and research and to continue its role as a “center for transmission of intellectual information” that is indispensable for the world, while moving forward together with other regional societies throughout Asia. Nagasaki University presents the five most important basic objectives for achieving its philosophy. We, aiming to be a leader among world institutes in both education and research, move forward with strategic plans to upgrade and individualize education and research. Under the principle “Student-Customer-ism”, we attempt to enhance liberal arts education and specialized professional education on graduate level to provide learning of the highest quality as well as to reinforce a support system for overall student life including admission selection, extra curricular activities, and job-seeking advice. We appropriately manage intellectual properties created in the University and return the study and research results to society through regional, industry-university-government, and international cooperation in the use of intellectual properties and human and material resources. We constantly review and evaluate the University and ask for opinions from outside to establish a direct system for improving education and research, and we also make such information open to the public. We examine the education/research and administrative bodies and build an integrated information management system to progress and advance University operation. We also adopt a flexible management operation and personnel/financial systems to form a sound business base for the University.
