| 簡介內容 | Founded in 1918 as a technical institute for wireless engineering by the government. Became a national university in 1949. The university became incorporated in April 2004 as a result of nation wide reform of higher education system. Presently the university consists of the Faculty of Electro-Communications, the Graduate School of Electro-Communications and the Graduate School of Information Systems. The university also includes the Institute for Laser Science.
The university offers programs for bachelor’s (four years), master’s (two years) and doctorate (three years) degrees in engineering and science. The first semester runs from early April to late July, and the second semester runs from early October to mid February.
