| 簡介內容 | The Tokyo University of Foreign Studies is the oldest institution in Japsn that is devoted to international studies. It began as Bansho Shirabesho (institute for Reserch of Foreign Documents), a govenrment translation bureau founded in 1856. It was then established as an independeant educational and researsh institution with the name Tokyo Gaikokugo Gakko(Tokyo School of Foreign Languages) in 1899.In 1999, the University celebrated the 100th anniversary of its "independence."
The campus moved to its present location in 2000. where students study in modern. hi-tech setting. In the 21st century. TUFS continues to play a leading role as a center of excellence in international studies.research,and worldwide academic exchange. |
